Halloween Fun Run

The Halloween Fun Run takes place at Thorpe Farm Centre on Sunday 18th October in support of The UTASS (Upper Teesdale Agricultural Suport Service). Entry fee will be taken on the door at £2 per person and all proceeds will be donated to UTASS.

Races are offered for adults and children. Distances are:

  • Adults: 5K
  • Children: 2K or 5K

There is a best dressed competition with prizes for adults and children. A small ceremony will award 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in both adult and children categories. Hot food and drinks will be available at the finish area. The course will feature fun tricks along the route.

Participation and safety information notes that suitable footwear must be worn where uneven ground or trails are expected. Runners and walkers should follow marked routes and marshal instructions. Children must be accompanied or supervised by a responsible adult. Marshals will be positioned along the route to guide participants and provide assistance.

Course surfaces may be uneven or slippery and may include obstacles such as stiles, steep ground, or vegetation; participants are advised to take care and slow down or walk if necessary. A 50 miles, 5,500 ft circuit through Wensleydale and Swaledale with an ascent of Great Shunner Fell. Walkers and runners complete the route within 22 hours; electronic trackers are used and participants must be 18 or older.

A timed loop event at Northallerton Rugby Club where participants run a one kilometre loop every thirty minutes for up to 24 hours. The event raises funds for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation and is for adults aged 18 and over.

A trail half marathon on the Pennine Way around Bowes, featuring dirt tracks, stream crossings, boggy sections and an exposed moorland route. Mandatory waterproofs and basic navigation kit are required and water top ups are provided on rout..

An evening trail event at Aske Hall near Richmond featuring 5km, 10km and a 5km walk across pasture, farm tracks and woodland. The single lap course is marked and may be muddy; basic facilities and a water station are provided.
