Four courses are available:

The courses are wholly within the National Park and use sections of the Cleveland Way trail. The terrain is described as moorland and grassland. The routes include features such as dry stone walls and disused railway lines. Whitby Abbey is located a few miles from the event location. The courses are fully marked.

Participant Information

A pre-event online check-in process is required. This process includes confirming a postal address for the participant number to be mailed and watching a mandatory safety video. Bib numbers are sent by post prior to the event. An official participant manual and spectator information document are available. Parking is available on-site but must be purchased online in advance. There is a charge for all-day parking; drop-offs and collections of up to one hour are free. The event includes electronic timing, a finisher's medal, and an energy bar. An after-party is suggested at The Hayburn Wyke pub.

Entry Policies

The event is part of the Endurancelife Season Leaderboard. Entry includes flexible policies: a full refund is available within 30 days of booking (for bookings made more than three months prior to the event), changes to other events are permitted until 30 days before, and entries can be transferred to another person up to 14 days prior.
