North York Moors Coastal Trail Run

The North York Moors Coastal Trail Run takes place in Ravenscar, with courses located entirely within the North York Moors National Park. The event utilizes sections of the Cleveland Way and features terrain consisting of moorland and grassland. The routes pass through landscapes characterized by dry stone walls, disused railway lines, and local heritage sites.

Participants can choose from four different distances, all categorized as taking place on moderate terrain:

• 10K: Approximately 8.0 miles with an ascent of 863 ft.
• Half Marathon: Approximately 15 miles with an ascent of 1,982 ft.
• Marathon: Approximately 26.5 miles with an ascent of 3,209 ft.
• Ultra: Approximately 34.3 miles with an ascent of 4,051 ft.

The event is part of the Endurancelife season leaderboard, where finishers are awarded points based on their performance. All courses are fully marked with signage, and electronic timing is used to provide instant results including split times.

Amenities at the event base include on-site facilities and finishers receive a medal and energy bars. Registered participants are required to complete an online check-in process approximately two weeks before the event to confirm personal details and watch a safety video.
