The Turnpike Trot 10k and Rabbit Run 5k take place on Sunday 26 October 2025 at the Danby Lodge National Park Centre, Lodge Lane, Danby, Whitby YO21 2NB. The races are held in the North York Moors and both courses are marked and marshalled. The 10k is a double loop of the 5k course. The event holds an ARC permit (ARC/25/0181). Price includes finishers medals, parking, refreshments and a fully marshalled, marked route. T-shirts are available for £10.
Entry and rules
Entry is limited to 150 runners. Entries open in January 2025 and close on Thursday 9 October 2025 or when full. Entry fees:
- 10k - Attached (UKA) £30; Unattached £32
- 5k - Attached (UKA) £20; Unattached £22
Age limits: the 10k is open to those aged 10 and over; the 5k is open to those aged 7 and over if running with an adult. Prizes are awarded 1st to 3rd male and female in under 18 and over 18 categories. There is no mandatory kit, but a waterproof jacket and trainers with good grip are advised. The event is cupless - competitors should bring a cup for drinks at checkpoints and at the finish. Entries are non-refundable and there is no waiting list.
