The route passes three staffed checkpoints: Ravenscar (Station Road) around 4.5 miles, Hayburn Wyke at about 8 miles, and Ravenscar again at about 12.5 miles, before returning to Robin Hoods Bay at 17.5 miles. Checkpoints provide food, water and cola. The event holds an ARC permit (27/0001). Dogs are not permitted at the event.

Entries are limited to 150 competitors. Entry fees are shown as £48 for unattached and £46 for attached runners. The organiser’s cancellation policy does not offer cash refunds; transfers or vouchers may be available under the stated terms and within specified deadlines.

Race rules require competitors to log with marshals at each checkpoint, to notify a marshal if retiring, and to carry all mandatory kit for the duration of the event. Mandatory items include hat and gloves, waterproof jacket with taped seams, at least 500 ml of water or sports drink, whistle, map and route description, survival bag, foil blanket, mobile phone, a cup for aid stations and safety pins or belt to attach the race bib.
