Hardmoors 15
The Hardmoors 15 is a winter trail event held on Saturday 9 January 2027. The circular route starts and finishes at Fylingdales Village Hall in Robin Hoods Bay and is listed as approximately 17.5 miles with about 1700 ft (518 m) of ascent. The course includes three checkpoints: Station Road, Ravenscar (visited twice) and Hayburn Wyke. Checkpoints provide food, water and coke.
Entry is limited to 150 competitors and entry fees are shown as £48 unattached or £46 attached. Runners must complete the route within an overall time limit of eight hours. The event operates under ARC permit 27/0001 and does not allow dogs.
Mandatory equipment must be carried for the duration of the event and includes items such as a hat and gloves, a waterproof jacket with taped seams, at least 500 ml of drink, a whistle, map and route description, a survival bag and foil blanket, a mobile phone, and a cup for drinks at aid stations. Competitors must log in with marshals at each checkpoint and notify a marshal if they retire; organisers may withdraw anyone judged unfit to continue.
On finishing, participants receive a race medal and a Hardmoors tech T-shirt. A presentation of prizes takes place once the majority of competitors have finished.
