The Hardmoors 30
The Hardmoors 30 is a winter trail race held on Saturday 9 January 2027 around Robin Hood's Bay. The route follows cliff-top paths of the Cleveland Way and the Cinder Track, passing Ravenscar, Hayburn Wyke, Crookness and Scalby Mills. The distance is approximately 30 miles, with total ascent about 3400 ft (1040 m) and a maximum allowed time of 11 hours.
The route starts and finishes at Fylingdales Village Hall in Robin Hood's Bay. Multiple staffed checkpoints are located along the course and provide refreshments and food. Checkpoint times must be met; checkpoints have published cut-offs and runners must log in with marshals at each checkpoint.
Entry is limited to 200 runners. The event listing states the race is currently full with no refunds or waiting list. Competitors may transfer their place to another entrant or defer entry once, subject to the event rules and the organiser's deadlines; deferrals and transfers have a closing date before the event.
Mandatory kit must be carried for the duration of the race and includes hat and gloves, waterproof jacket with taped seams, at least 500 ml fluid, headtorch or torch, whistle, emergency food, map and route description, survival bag or foil blanket, mobile phone, and a cup for drinks.
