Jedburgh Three Peaks ultramarathon (38 miles)

The Jedburgh Three Peaks ultramarathon is a trail race of 38 miles held in and around Jedburgh, TD8 6JQ on 25 October 2025. The route is fully waymarked and a GPX file is available. Electronic timing and online live updates are provided. Checkpoints are located at 10, 17, 21, and 28 miles; water and Coke are supplied at all checkpoints and drop bags may be left at 10, 17, and 28 miles. Event parking and race registration are at the Lothian car park and the Jed Thistle Pavilion respectively, with changing and showering facilities and kitbag storage in the pavilion.

Compulsory kit for all runners includes an emergency foil blanket, a waterproof top or jacket with taped seams and hood, and a fully charged, switched-on mobile phone. All finishers receive a medal and goody bag; tech t-shirts are available on request. Trophies are awarded to the first three finishers in each gender category, and age-category trophies are awarded for first V50, V60 and V70 in each gender. Profits are donated to charities, with the 2025 chosen charity being the Borders Children's Charity (SC026072). Withdrawal and refund rules apply as stated by the organiser.

Jedburgh Three Peaks relay race (four legs)

The relay follows the same waymarked route and is limited to 25 teams. Team entry fee is £120 per team; all team members must be aged 20 or over. Relay changeovers are at Maxton Churchyard and Rhymer's Stone. Legs:

  • Leg 1: Jedburgh - Maxton - 10 miles
  • Leg 2: Maxton - Rhymer's Stone - 7 miles
  • Leg 3: Rhymer's Stone - Maxton - 11 miles
  • Leg 4: Maxton - Jedburgh (Finish) - 10 miles

Relay teams must have motorised vehicle backup and may consist of two to four runners. Compulsory kit mirrors the ultramarathon requirements. All finishing teams receive medals and goody bags. Specific refund, substitution, and entry conditions apply as stated by the organiser. The event provides refreshments including tea, coffee and homemade vegan soup with focaccia. The organisers state they are LGBTIQ+ and nonbinary friendly; event portaloos are gender neutral and private changing can be arranged on request.
