Jedburgh Three Peaks Races

The Jedburgh Three Peaks event features an ultramarathon and a relay race starting and finishing in Jedburgh. The course is fully route marked, and participants can access a GPX file of the route. The event uses electronic timing with live online updates.

Participants can choose from the following distances:

  • 38 miles individual ultramarathon
  • 38 miles relay (legs of 10, 7, 11, and 10 miles)

The ultramarathon includes four checkpoints located at miles 10, 17, 21, and 28. Water and soft drinks are provided at all stations. Runners can utilize drop bags at the 10, 17, and 28-mile marks. Relay teams must have their own motorised vehicle backup. Changeovers for the relay occur at Maxton Churchyard and Rhymer's Stone.

The event requires all runners to carry compulsory safety kit, including an emergency foil blanket, a waterproof top or jacket with taped seams and a hood, and a fully charged mobile phone.

Facilities at the Jed Thistle Pavilion include changing rooms and showers. Following the race, finishers receive a medal, a goody bag, and a tech t-shirt. The organisers provide complimentary tea, coffee, and vegan soup with focaccia for all participants. Parking is available at the Lothian car park near the registration area.

Registration is open to all, with specific categories for female, male, and non-binary participants. Financial assistance or payment plans are available for those on low incomes, and specific subsidies exist for certain participants through partner organizations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
