Gormire Gamble Fell Race takes place on 19 October 2025 at the North York Moors National Park Sutton Bank Visitor Centre, YO7 2EH. The event is organised by Thirsk and Sowerby Harriers and is an FRA BS category fell race. The minimum age is 18. Entries open 16 September 2025 and close 16 October 2025. Entry fees are FRA member £7 and non-member £9; an extra £1 is charged if not registered for the Winter Series or without a series number. This race is the second counter in the Dave Parry / Lets Run Winter Fell Race Series 2025/26.

Course and safety

The course is on road and trail with tree branches, roots and mud. The distance is 9 km with a climb of 250 m. The FRA course classification is PM (partially marked), NS (navigational skills required) and LK (local knowledge an advantage). All checkpoints must be visited. GPS navigation cannot be used.

Participants must follow Fell Runner Association rules. The full FRA Mandatory Minimum Kit is required, including waterproof whole-body cover with taped seams and attached hood, hat, gloves, map and compass, whistle and emergency food. The organiser may require specific items to be carried and will carry out random kit checks. Parking charges apply at the Visitor Centre. There are toilet facilities and a coffee shop on site.
