Trail Running calendar near Delamere 2026-2027

A Marches LDWA challenge walk from Holdgate near Much Wenlock with 22 mile and 10 mile routes across Abdon Burf and Wenlock Edge. Checkpoints offer refreshments and proceeds support local church communities.

A single-loop 10 km running safari at Yorkshire Wildlife Park on 25 April 2027, on mixed surfaces with views of animals such as lions, rhinos and giraffes. Tickets are currently sold out and a waiting list is available.

A multi-terrain marathon and half marathon on the traffic-free Tissington Trail in Derbyshire, using a former railway line between Ashbourne and Buxton. Includes route maps, a bespoke medal, free photos and prizes for leading runners.

A trail running event at Temple Newsam House in Leeds with four distance options across mixed off-road terrain, feed stations every three miles, course marshals and a bespoke finishers' medal.

A 50 mile trail ultra from Malham across the Yorkshire Dales with 2593 m of ascent and live GPS tracking. The route includes Malham Cove and the Yorkshire three peaks and features five supported checkpoints and mandatory kit checks.

Out-and-back trail event from Abberley Village Hall with 23, 31, 38 and 47 mile options; the full route includes about 2,941 m ascent, GPX navigation is provided and checkpoints enforce a 13 hour maximum time.

A 33 mile trail race following much of the Chesterfield Round Walk through moorland, woodland, reservoirs and farmland. Route notes and GPX files are provided and checkpoints offer water with food at selected points.

A 9.6 km fell race near Accrington on 2 May 2027 with 338 m of climb. It is a Category BS event with UK Athletics insurance, open to entrants aged 18 and over with pre entry and on the day options.

A small FRA licensed fell race held each May over a hilly five mile route around Rainow and Kerridge Ridge. Entry is limited and proceeds are donated to local charities and rescue services.

Evening pop up runs at Rodley with 5k and 10k options, finishers receive a jumble medal and a soft drink. Entry fees are listed from £12 to £17 and payment on the day is accepted.

A trail event at Brockholes Nature Reserve in Preston offering 10k, half marathon, marathon and timed ultra options on marked paths with refreshments, a bespoke medal and medical cover.

Pretty Muddy 5k at Weston Park is an obstacle course across paths, tracks and grass with some hills and on site parking. Entrants must be at least 13 and take part in staggered wave starts while raising funds for Cancer Research UK.

A 24 hour ultra from Prestatyn along the Offa's Dyke Path where solo runners and teams aim to reach the furthest south point in the allotted time. Six staffed checkpoints, GPS tracking and a mandatory kit list support participants.

A 22.5 km fell race near Downham, Lancashire with about 1250 m of ascent, limited to 200 runners and open to adults only. Pre-entry and on the day entry are available with permit and UK Athletics insurance provided by the FRA.

Trail races around Moel Famau in the Clwydian Range offering Marathon, Half Marathon and 10k on hilly off-road routes. Checkpoints provide refill taps, mandatory safety kit is required and canicross entries are accepted.
