Corvedale Cake Walk
Holdgate, United Kingdom • 25 Apr 2026
Corvedale Cake Walk is a Marches LDWA challenge walk starting at Holdgate Church, near Much Wenlock, Shropshire. The event offers two routes: a 22-mile long option and a 10-mile shorter route. From Holdgate the courses head over tracks and fields to Abdon Burf, the highest point in Shropshire; the long route continues along Wenlock Edge and returns via the Jack Mytton Way, while the 10-mile line goes to Abdon Burf, on to Clee St Margaret and back. All proceeds benefit Holdgate and Eaton church communities. Expect refreshments at checkpoints, hot drinks at the start, cakes and sandwiches, and hot dogs at finish; bring a mug; dogs are not allowed.
