Trail Running calendar near Clipstone 2026-2027

Experience a hilly 5 mile fell race through the scenic Kerridge Ridge and Rainow. This FRA licensed event features local charity support, a community atmosphere, and traditional post race cakes for all participants.

Shires and Spires is a multi-distance running event around Naseby in Northamptonshire featuring roads and trails, five distances from 10K to a 35 mile ultra, and a course that changes direction each year.

A measured, chip-timed 5k through Middlewich canals and trails with a family fun run on the cricket pitch; medals, goody bags and age-group prizes for finishers.

Hardmoors White Horse at Sutton Bank on 9 May 2027 offers three trail distances with published ascent and time limits. Competitors must carry mandatory kit, navigate with supplied maps and GPX files, and use their own cup at checkpoints.

A multi distance run through central Preston parklands on 9 May 2027, starting and finishing at Avenham Park. Routes use hard surface paths with looped courses, medical cover, a bespoke medal and an ultra option within a six hour limit.

A 7.5 mile clockwise circuit around Carsington Reservoir with waterside views, a bespoke finisher medal and technical t shirt options; open to entrants aged 16 and over with an entry limit and specified online fees.

A chip timed half marathon through Sherwood Pines on 9 May 2027, run on traffic free forest trails with distance markers and water stations. Entries are limited and prizes include individual, age group and team awards.

A 50k ultra through Nottinghamshire villages that uses footpaths, bridleways, tracks and minor roads. The route starts and finishes at Milestone Brewery, includes checkpoints every 6 to 8 miles and post-race food and tap room access.

A Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course at Braunstone Park on 15 May 2027 combining grass and path with climbs, crawls and slides. Waves start every 15 minutes, participants must be 13 or older and there is a minimum fundraising target of £50.

A measured 50 km route from Telford Town Park to Shrewsbury that passes historic sites such as Ironbridge, Buildwas Abbey and Wroxeter Roman City. The event features chip timing, five nutrition stations and a bespoke finish medal.

A trail race from Studley Roger near Ripon following the Ripon Rowel with routes of 14.2, 23 and 35.1 miles visiting Fountains Abbey and valley woods.
