Leicester Pretty Muddy 5k - Braunstone Park, 16 May 2026

The event is a 5 km Pretty Muddy obstacle course held at Braunstone Park, Goodings Avenue, Leicester. The circular route uses the park grounds and combines grass and path surfaces. The start and finish are on grass in the large field next to Winstanley House.

Participants climb, crawl and slide around a series of muddy obstacles. Start times are staggered in waves every 15 minutes. The minimum age to take part is 13. A separate Pretty Muddy Kids programme is available for younger children.

Entry fees listed are Adults £22.49 and Children £12.00, with a minimum fundraising target of £50. Event support includes a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans, community support and a finishers medal.

On-site facilities include refreshments, toilets and event parking that is limited and weather dependent. The main event car park is on grass and may be unsuitable in poor weather; some on-street parking is available nearby. The nearest train station is Leicester and a limited bus service operates. There are no showers, no bag drop, no bike racks and no electric charging points. The event is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for pushchairs. Dogs are not allowed. A six-hour off-road challenge at Beacon Hill Country Park on a 3.3 mile loop. Participants complete as many laps as they wish within the time limit; a head torch is required for laps started after 7pm.

A two day trail running festival at Deene Park Estate near Corby offering three challenges across multiple distances, including a combined 56.1 km Quest. Entries include finisher medals and the weekend features on-site entertainment.

A multi-distance running event at Naseby Village Hall with trail and road courses including a 35 mile ultra. The route alternates direction by year, features five checkpoints and requires mandatory kit and GPS tracking.

Race 2 of the Northants 5 km Series is at West Lodge Farm in Desborough on multi terrain routes through fields and nature trails. Finishers receive a bespoke medal; parking is free and on site refreshments are available.
