Carsington 7+
The Carsington 7+ is a 7.5 mile clockwise circuit around Carsington Reservoir that passes views across the water and the Derbyshire countryside. The route is a single full lap of the reservoir and is described as a run for joggers and runners of varying ability. Entrants must be 16 years and over.
All finishers receive a bespoke medal. Technical t-shirts are available to purchase when entering the race and may be collected on race morning. Race packs can be collected on the day at no extra charge or posted in the week prior to the event for a postage fee.
The event supports Derby & District RSPCA as the headline charity and is part of the RunDerby Race Series. The event is licensed to the Association of Running Clubs and offers a discount for runners who are members of an ARC running club and a UKA affiliated club and who hold a valid Unique Runners Number.
Entry arrangements for 2027 specify separate online prices for affiliated and unaffiliated individual entries, include a Severn Trent Water participation fee within the cost, and are non refundable. The individual entry limit is 650 entrants and entries close on Thursday 6 May 2027 or when the race is full. Transfer requests for entries are handled during a set transfer window and are subject to an administration fee plus any applicable unaffiliated fees.
