National Forest Way Ultra 75
The National Forest Way Ultra 75 is a long distance trail event covering 75 miles along the National Forest Way across the Midlands. The event is organised by Beacon Race Events and is presented as the first ever ultra marathon on this route.
Medical cover is provided for the duration of the event by emergency first aid partner TrailMed. The race is a registered UTMB Index event and is run under the rules of UK Athletics and the Trail Running Association. A downloaded GPX route is mandatory for all participants and a free 30 day premium Komoot subscription is offered to entrants.
The event includes a clear code of conduct that asks participants to respect other trail users, obey the Highway Code on road sections, leave no trace, close gates, respect animals, follow marshal instructions, stay on marked paths, carry mandatory kit, and look out for fellow runners. Organisers state that a tree will be planted on behalf of every participant by the Tree App company.
