Trail Running Calendar East of England 2026-2027

A single day entry in a 10 day series hosted by Zig Zag Running at Suffolk Running Centre, offering distances from 5k to ultra. Day one follows the Denham Flats route with parking included and on course aid at base camp.

Enjoy a 10k trail run through Chelmsford featuring a unique brewery checkpoint. This non competitive event includes mid race and finishers drinks along with a commemorative medal for all participants.

A 5k muddy obstacle course at Priory Park, Bedford on 25 July 2026, held in waves and aimed at participants aged 13 and over; the event lists toilets, refreshments and parking but is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

A family-oriented summer evening at Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure with a 2.5 km junior race, a 5 km race, and a 100 m Diddy Dash for under-6s; chip timing, bespoke medals, trophies, refreshments and spectator access.

A 12 hour multi terrain lap event at Riverside Park, St Neots, held alongside two triathlons as part of a festival. Entries are Solo, Pair or Teams of 3 to 6; awards, medals, family activities and camping are provided.

Point to point trail ultras along the Stour Valley Path in Constable Country on 8 August 2026. The SVP100 covers about 102 km and the SVP50 is a shorter trail option; both offer medals, t shirts and UTMB Index points.

The Stopsley Trail Race on Sunday 9 August 2026 offers 5K, 5 miles and 10 miles on scenic undulating trails along the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire border. Entries include chip timing, bespoke medals, free photos and participant goodies.

A summer charity trail event in Cold Norton on 9 August 2026 offering a 10 km and a 13.1 miles route. Routes are unmarked narrative trails and the event raises funds for Farleigh Hospice while requiring participants to carry their own cup o..

Trail event on 16 August 2026 offering a competitive 15 mile run and a timed 15 km social hike. Over 18s only; starters receive a vest or T shirt and finishers get a medal and a free drink.

A 22 mile guided trail run from North Walsham to Cromer on the Norfolk Coast. The route follows the Paston Way and passes places linked to the Paston family; organiser ESCAPE trails lists the price as £28.

A self navigation trail event along the Colne Valley Path with marathon and half marathon distances, stocked aid stations, cupless arrangements, a pre-race shuttle and optional medal choices.

Summer community races of 5 km and 10 km from Whitwell and Reepham Railway Station along Marriott's Way, with medals for finishers and fundraising for Keeping Abreast Breast Cancer Reconstruction Support Charity. The races are not timed.

A ten kilometre trail run on 23 August 2026 using the original predominately anti clockwise route, with a limited edition event T shirt included and results posted within 48 hours.

A last person standing backyard ultra at Gosfield School in Essex where runners repeat a 4.167 mile loop each hour until one remains. Onsite camping, showers and a small aid station are available for participants.

Take on the Muntjac 15, a 15 mile trail around Danbury Essex with 1600 ft of climbing across scenic woodland and technical singletrack. Enjoy a well stocked checkpoint, a quality memento and bespoke local trophies.

A functional fitness race in Bedford on 30 August 2026 offering solo, doubles and relay formats with ten Xercises plus running, published entry fees, an optional LITE weight division and live leaderboard data.

A sunset trail event at Ickworth Park offering 5K and 10K routes across limestone paths, woodland and meadows. The 10K is chip timed, all finishers receive a medal and the event operates as cupless with water refill points.

A muddy obstacle-course event in Brentwood on 5 September 2026 with 1.5 km and 5 km options, on-course obstacles, foam and water features, finish-line wash facilities and family-friendly arrangements.

A women only 5 km obstacle course that emphasises teamwork and community. The course features low upper body obstacles, water features without full submersion, hot wash downs and a finisher medal.

The inaugural Rowhedge Half Marathon is an off road half marathon on Sunday 6th September through Donyland Woods, Friday Woods and local countryside. Entry fee is £28 including a medal and entries close 3rd September.
