Viper 5 Mile Trail Run

The Viper 5 mile trail run (Autumn edition)

The event is a five mile trail run held on 24 September 2026 at The Viper, Mill Green Road, Mill Green, Ingatestone CM4 0PT. It runs under TRA Permit 8449 and is limited to adults aged 18 and over on a first come first served basis. Total capacity is 50 places.

The course follows the regular anti-clockwise route used for the autumn edition and a recorded route is available on Strava. The event is described as 100 percent self sufficient; participants must carry water and any other provisions they require. Phones and headtorches are compulsory. High visibility clothing and waterproofs are recommended in variable weather.

Parking is available opposite the pub with limited space. A free public car park in Mill Green is about a ten minute downhill walk away. Bike racking is provided at the pub and car sharing is encouraged. Non TRA or EA members are subject to a £2 levy.

Runners collect their race numbers shortly before the start and the event uses a mass start. A tail runner is provided to assist navigation if required. At the finish, race numbers are handed in at the bar in exchange for a pint, a glass of wine, a soft drink or a hot drink. Food is available at The Viper and at The Cricketers; booking ahead is advised for meal orders and larger groups.

Entry fees change by date with listed prices of £12.00 until 31 July 2026 and £13.50 until 20 September 2026. A service fee applies to each sign up. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
