Zach's Devil Steps Trail Run

Zach's Devil Steps Trail Run is a charity event based at The Zach Willsher Pub in Benfleet, Essex. All money raised is donated to Cancer Research UK. The event is held under UK Athletics rules with a Trail Running Association permit and takes place across the woodland and parks surrounding the Benfleet area.

Participants can choose between two route options:

• 3.5 miles
• 7.3 miles

The event follows a narrative trail format. There is no mass start and the course is not marked with tape or marshals. Instead, participants are provided with written narrative instructions to navigate the route. Participants are timed individually from their start until their return. The terrain consists of a mixture of tracks, footpaths, bridleways, and short road sections to connect the local parklands.

Off-road running footwear is strongly recommended due to the nature of the trails. Please note that dogs are not permitted at this event. Age restrictions apply regarding maximum distances for young trail runners as per official regulations. Finishers receive a voucher for use at the host venue.
