The C2C Essex Ultra

The c2c Essex Ultra 2025 is a charity ultramarathon along the Essex Riviera, held in September. Contestants can choose 50 miles from Upminster or 30 miles from Tilbury, finishing at Thorpe Bay. The course follows the Thames eastward, using the London Loop and England Coast Path, with mainly tarmac underfoot and some hard trails.

The route passes urban riverside, marshland, and sea views, with multiple checkpoints and tea, cake, and free photos at the finish. Perks include a marked route, medical cover, finishers’ medals, and free c2c train travel on race day. All proceeds go to Gold Geese, supporting families affected by childhood cancer.
