The Endless Garden 2.0 - A Backyard Ultra Marathon

The Endless Garden 2.0 takes place from 26 September 2026 to 27 September 2026 at The Waggoners Pub in Ayot Green, Welwyn Garden City, United Kingdom. The event uses the pub and adjacent field for athlete and spectator facilities.

The race follows the Backyard Ultra format. Runners complete a 4.167-mile (6.71 km) loop every hour, on the hour, and must finish each loop within the hour to continue. The event ends when a single runner completes a loop alone.

Entry costs £80 per participant. Entry includes five drink vouchers usable for half pints, soft drinks or hot drinks, one commemorative pint glass and official race timing provided by racesonline.uk. The race winner will receive a prize described as something cool and mainly glory.

The course mixes road, sealed paths and trail and is designed to be safe and runnable throughout the night. A route map will be provided ahead of race day.

Spectators are welcome at all times. The Waggoners pub remains open throughout the event and will offer drinks at bar prices plus a special athletes menu called the Endless Backyard set menu with pizzas and snacks. Limited personal and group marquee space is available behind the pub on a first in first served basis, and the adjacent field is available for additional marquees and tents. For most athletes the pub or connected marquee is sufficient to store personal gear securely. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
