Essex Vets XC Championships
The Essex Vets XC Championships take place on 12 December 2026 in Epping Forest at the corner of Rangers Road and Forest Side, Rangers Road, Chingford. The event is organised by Essex Athletics.
All competitors run the same course of 8km. Races are arranged by veteran categories and include events for Men V50+, Women V40+ and Men V40. Individual medals are awarded in five-year age categories up to and including V70. Team medals are awarded in ten-year age categories for V40, V50 and V60 only, with four counters required to score for a team. Age groups are determined by the athlete’s age on the day of competition (12/12/2026).
Entry fee is £8 per athlete and entries close at midnight on Sunday 6 December. The event is held under UKA Rules. All athletes must be members of England Athletics with a current athlete registration and must be eligible to compete for Essex either by birth in Essex or by continuous residence in Essex for the nine months prior to the event.
Entrants are deemed to accept and be bound by the UKA Anti-Doping Rules and to submit to the authority of UK Anti-Doping; those rules apply for 12 months from the date of entry regardless of citizenship or residence. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
