Peacock Plod at Hockwold Hall

Peacock Plod takes place at Hockwold Hall, a former Royal Residence set in private grounds in a small Breckland village on the border of Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. The estate includes landscaped parkland, mature trees, open lawns and a flock of peacocks that roam the gardens.

The course is a 5.3 km loop through the estate grounds. Participants choose how far to go, with options that range from short distances up to an ultra.

Distances offered:

  • 5k
  • 10k
  • 15k
  • Half marathon
  • Heavy half marathon
  • Full marathon
  • Ultra marathon

Included for finishers are a medal and chip timing. There is cake at the finish line and an aid station supplying water, squash and coke. The course is marked with arrows. This is a cupless event so participants should bring their own drinking vessel.

The event is presented as the first running event at Hockwold Hall and notes that every finisher is celebrated the same. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
