Trail Running calendar near Somerset Regional 2026-2027

On 12 July 2026 the Somerset Rail Trail Classic offers running, walking and cycling options along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, with distances from 3 km to 44 km and a community focus under Somerset Regional Council.

A night trail event at Wild Horse Mountain on July 18, 2026, with three distance options and published course maps. Mandatory kit includes a headlamp, water bottle and access to a course map.

A team relay along the South Burnett rail trail covering 60 km between Kingaroy and Wondai. Teams of five to eight run average 5 km legs and a 1 km kids race is included.

Trail running at Lake Manchester, QLD with distances from a 1 km kids dash to a 23 km loop. Water stops, aid stations and a no disposable cup policy; proceeds go to the TRAQ Charity Fund.

Trail event at Murphys Creek Recreation Reserve offering 7 km, 14 km and 21.1 km options on dirt roads and 4WD tracks. Three water stops, post-event stalls and race pack collection are provided.

A two day mountain biking and trail running event at Hidden Vale Adventure Park in Grandchester, Queensland, on 5 to 6 September 2026. The event uses more than 80 km of purpose-built trails and traces back to a 117 km 2002 ride.

Round 1 of the SEQ Trail Running Series Season 14 is at Enoggera Reservoir on 11 October 2026, offering 8.4 km and 12.9 km trail races with timing, race photos, a charity BBQ and a limited edition singlet for series entries.

A trail event in Mapleton on 17 October 2026 with 100 km, 50 km and 21 km courses along the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk; mandatory safety gear, drop-bag service and prizes are provided, and the 100 km is a Western States qualifier.

A 22 km trail race on Mount Glorious with 1,200 m of climb across rainforest ridgelines and a manned midpoint at England Creek. Entry includes event bus transport; runners must carry 1 L of water and a refillable container.

A 24-hour trail running festival at Ewen Maddock Dam with hourly 5 km laps, no eliminations and options for 24hr, 10hr, 5hr and a 5 km finale. Race HQ offers food, stalls and on-course support in a tent-friendly venue.

Trail running around the base of Mt Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast, offering marathon, half marathon and 10 km courses with marked trails, checkpoints and mandatory gear requirements.

Night-time trail races at the base of Mt Beerwah offering 10 km, half marathon and marathon routes with marked courses and mandatory safety gear. Checkpoints provide water but no disposable cups.

Round 5 of SEQ Trail Running Series Season 14 at James Drysdale Recreational Park, Bunya, features two trail distances, event timing, race photos, a charity BBQ and a season singlet included with full series entries.

Round 7 of the SEQ Trail Running Series at Ewen Maddock Dam offers two trail distances, professional timing and photos, a post-race charity BBQ and coffee, and series points for club and individual rankings.
