Lake Manchester Trails

Lake Manchester Trails is a trail running event organised by TRAQ at Lake Manchester, QLD on Sunday 16 August 2026. The event offers multiple distance options around the lake and along adjacent tracks.

  • 1 km Kids Dash (under 9)
  • 1 km Junior Dash (9 to 12)
  • 5 km (over 10)
  • 10 km (16 and over)
  • 23 km (18 and over)

Entry fees vary by distance, and TRAQ members receive a 10% discount when entering a membership number as the discount code. The 23 km course is a loop that follows the western shore, includes four river crossings and a clockwise loop at the far end of the lake. The 10 km route follows the 23 km course to the log cabin then returns. The 5 km course follows the western shore and a grassed headland track. The 1 km kids course is revealed at the race briefing; all children receive a medal and no overall places or times are recorded for the kids events.

Hydration stations are located at about 5 km, 7 km and 11 km. Ten kilometre runners encounter one water stop and 23 km runners use five water stops. A no disposable cup policy is in place so participants should bring a reusable bottle or collapsible cup. Limited food is available at the 11 km checkpoint and Tailwind electrolyte products are provided on course. A paramedic and first aid kits are available at key locations. Entrance and parking are 300 m past the Lake Manchester Reserve entrance. Pets are not permitted on course or at the start and finish areas.
