Lake Manchester Trails is a trail running event organised by TRAQ at Lake Manchester (QLD 4306) on Sunday 16 August 2026. The event offers multiple distance options and a lakeside course that includes loop sections and river crossings.

Distances and age rules:

  • 1 km Kids Dash : under 9, medal for all, no times recorded
  • 1 km Junior Dash : ages 9 to 12
  • 5 km : entry for over 10s
  • 10 km : entry for 16 and over
  • 23 km : entry for 18 and over, cut-off time 4 hours

Course details: the 23 km route follows the western shore, rounds a top-end loop with four river crossings, and returns along the western shore. The 10 km course follows the 23 km route to the log cabin then returns. The 5 km course runs past the dam along the west side of the lake and returns on the same route. A course map is available and is also provided in the Avenza smartphone app.

Services and safety: water stops are at approximately 5 km, 7 km and 11 km, resulting in one water stop for 10 km entrants and five for 23 km entrants. There are limited food supplies at the 11 km checkpoint. A paramedic is on site and first aid kits are located at the start/finish, key checkpoints and with course sweepers.

Logistics and policies: registration fees vary by distance, TRAQ members receive a 10% discount with membership validation, and an entrance/parking point is 300 m past the reserve entrance. There is a no-disposable-cups policy so participants should bring a reusable cup or bottle. Dogs and other domestic animals are prohibited on the course and surrounding start/finish areas.
