The BVRT100s events take place along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail with start and finish locations in the Yarraman and Ipswich areas on 12 June 2026. The 100 mile route starts at the Yarraman Heritage Centre, follows the full BVRT to Brassall and finishes at the Ipswich Grammar School Playing Fields. The 200 mile event begins at the Ipswich Grammar School Playing Fields a day earlier, travels to Yarraman and returns to finish with the 100 mile field. The 100 mile route intersects the 50 mile and marathon starts at Toogoolawah and Coominya respectively.

Distances offered include:

  • 200 mile - IGS to Yarraman and return; crew mandatory
  • 100 mile - Yarraman to IGS Playing Fields
  • 100 km - Harlin to IGS Playing Fields
  • 50 mile - Toogoolawah to IGS Playing Fields

Full participants receive access to hydration, nutrition and electrolyte support along the BVRT course and have medical services available during the event. Finishers receive an event garment, a tankard and a finishers medal upon finishing. Pacers receive the same support as participants and are covered under the organiser's public liability insurance.

The 200 mile entry requires qualifying performances completed within specified timeframes and available results. If a registrant fails to meet qualifying criteria, their place may be offered to the first person on the wait list and refunds are processed less an administration fee. Dead Cow Gully Backyard Ultra challenges runners to a 6.7 km loop each hour until one remains. Set on a 1600 acre cattle property near Nanango, Queensland, the course threads timbered ridges, creek flats and a historic homestead.

Experience Australia longest recreational rail trail during this multi sport event. Participants can choose to run or walk scenic routes or take part in bicycle rides through the historic Brisbane Valley.

A team relay along the South Burnett rail trail covering 60 km between Kingaroy and Wondai. Teams of five to eight run average 5 km legs and a 1 km kids race is included.
