Brisbane Valley Rail Trail 100s (BVRT100s)

The BVRT100s is a running event held on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail in June 2026. Routes use the trail between Ipswich and Yarraman. The 100 mile event checks in at the Yarraman Heritage Centre and finishes at the Ipswich Grammar School playing fields. The 200 mile event follows an out and back route between the same locations, joining the 100 mile route on its return leg.

The event offers multiple distances:

  • 200 mile
  • 100 mile
  • 100 km
  • 50 mile
  • Marathon
  • Half marathon

The trail is signed from start to finish with coordinate markers every kilometre. GPS route files are provided and the organisers recommend using the AllTrails app. An Esk town centre deviation may be used and an alternative track is published for that section.

Mandatory kit is required for all participants and for pacers; pacers must be registered and may not carry mandatory kit for their runner. Participants are required to carry at least one water bottle. Checkpoints provide water and other provisions. The event enforces waste rules, requests care around toilets, and asks participants to notify checkpoint staff if they withdraw. Event crew decisions are final and medical withdrawal may be required if staff consider it necessary. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
