Event Overview
The BVRT100s is an ultra-endurance running event held on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BVRT) in Queensland. The course utilizes the rail trail infrastructure, passing through locations such as Yarraman, Toogoolawah, Esk, Harlin, Moore, and Coominya. All race distances conclude at the Ipswich Grammar School Playing Fields (IGS) in Brassall.
Distance Options
Participants can choose from several long-distance categories:
- 200 miles: A return journey starting at the IGS Playing Fields, traveling to Yarraman, and returning to the finish.
- 100 miles: A point-to-point race starting at the Yarraman Heritage Centre and traveling the length of the BVRT.
- 100 km: Referred to as the Beginners Edition, starting in Harlin.
- 50 miles: Referred to as the Fun Run, starting in Toogoolawah.
Participant Requirements and Support
The 200 mile event requires specific qualifying criteria, such as previous completion of a 100-mile or 100-km event within a specific timeframe. Additionally, all 200 mile participants must have a support crew. Pacer options are available for various distances, with designated entry points at Moore, Toogoolawah, or Esk depending on the category.
Full participants receive access to hydration, nutrition, and electrolyte stations throughout the course. Medical care and services are available for the duration of the event. All finishers receive a medal, and participants are provided with an event garment and tankard.
