Mount Glorious Mountain Trails
Mount Glorious Mountain Trails is a trail race held from Cedar Flats in Red Cedar Park, Dundas, Queensland. The course is 22 km with approximately 1,200 m of total ascent and 650 m of total descent. The route runs across the top of Northbrook Mountain, down to England Creek at the midpoint, then climbs continuously to the summit area of Mount Glorious and finishes at the clearing opposite Maiala picnic area.
The course starts with a valley climb onto a ridgeline firebreak that is initially steep before becoming runnable. Runners pass a junction to Northbrook Mountain, descend to the manned midpoint at England Creek, then face a sustained climb of about 600 m to the top. Near the summit the route follows a historic stone-lined western ridge single trail with several stone stairs and a short flat section to the Western Window and the finish clearing.
Participants must carry at least 1 L of water; this will be checked before the race. Top-ups are available at three self-help checkpoints and one manned midpoint checkpoint at England Creek where water, sports drink, some snacks and first aid are provided. There are no disposable cups so runners must carry a refillable container.
Entry is restricted by a field limit (150 in 2026). Participants must be at least 18 years old. Entry fee is A$95 with a TRAQ member discount available. Buses are provided as part of the event to move runners and gear between key locations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
