Mount Glorious Mountain Trails

The event is a mountain trail race held from Cedar Flats in Red Cedar Park, Dundas and finishing at the clearing opposite Maiala picnic area. The listed course distance is 22km with a total elevation gain of 1,200 m and total descent of 650 m. The route crosses Northbrook Mountain, drops to England Creek where the manned midpoint checkpoint is located, then climbs to the summit of Mount Glorious and follows the historic stone lined western ridge single trail to the finish.

The course runs mainly on the west side of the ridge through rainforest and shaded single track. Notable features on the route include a steep initial climb from the valley, a continuous 600 m climb to the top of Mount Glorious, a section with stone stairs near the Western Window, and a flat run into the finish clearing.

Participants must be at least 18 years old. Entry details for the listed edition include an entry fee of A$95 with a 10 percent discount for TRAQ members, a restricted field limit (150 in 2026) and a refund policy available up to two weeks before the event less a A$20 administration charge. Race logistics include two start waves, bus transport to the start included with entry, and bib distribution either on the bus or at on site registration.

This is a remote area. Runners are required to carry 1 litre of water which will be checked before the race. Top ups are available at three self help points and the manned midpoint at England Creek. No cups will be provided so a refillable container is required. Post race food includes a brunch of sandwiches, fruit and liquids and hot drinks are available.
