The Mt Glorious Mountain Trails is a trail race held at Red Cedar Park, Dundas (Cedar Flats) on Sunday 9 November 2025. The single-course distance is 22 km with a total elevation gain of 1,200 m and total descent of 650 m. Entry is limited (150 participants in 2025) and participants must be at least 18 years old. The published entry fee is A$95. The event uses a two-wave start system and race results are adjusted by wave; prizes are awarded to the first three men and women across the finish line.
Course and logistics
The route climbs from Cedar Flats along a ridgeline firebreak, traverses the top of Northbrook Mountain, descends to England Creek (manned midpoint), then climbs about 600 m to the summit area of Mt Glorious before following a stone-lined western ridge single trail to a finish at the clearing opposite Maiala picnic area. Runners are required to carry at least 1 L of water in a refillable container; there will be no cups. Top-ups are available at three self-help checkpoints and one manned midpoint checkpoint at England Creek. Checkpoints include self-help water and first-aid boxes at CP1, CP3 and CP4, and a manned CP2 at England Creek offering water, sports drink, fruit, gels and first aid. Post-race provisions include a brunch of sandwiches, fruit and liquids; basic facilities such as toilets, picnic tables and barbecues are available at nearby Maiala and Cedar Flats.
