Event Details

The Mount Glorious Mountain Trails is a 22 km trail race. The course features a total elevation gain of 1,200 m and a descent of 650 m. The race starts at the Cedar Flats second picnic area in Red Cedar Park. It travels across Northbrook Mountain, through England Creek, and finishes at a clearing opposite the Maiala picnic area near the summit of Mount Glorious.

The route is on the west side of the ridge, with trees providing shade over much of the course. There is a cut-off time of 11:30 AM.

Logistics & Requirements

The event takes place on a specified date in November. Participants must be 18 years or older on race day. Entry includes access to provided event buses from a Park 'n' Ride location at The Gap. There is a restricted total number of participants, which varies each year.

This is a remote area. Runners are required to carry their own water (1 litre minimum), which will be checked pre-race. Top-ups are available at three self-help checkpoints and one manned midpoint checkpoint at England Creek. Runners must carry a refillable container as no cups are provided. Post-race, a brunch of sandwiches, fruit, and liquids is available.
