Mount Glorious Mountain Trails
The Mount Glorious Mountain Trails is a trail running event held at Cedar Flats in Red Cedar Park, Dundas. The event uses a 22 km route that includes about 1,200 m of total ascent and 650 m of descent. The course climbs from the Cedar Flats valley up a ridgeline firebreak, passes over Northbrook Mountain and drops to England Creek, which is the manned midpoint checkpoint, before a continuous 600 m climb to the top of Mount Glorious. Near the summit runners join a historic stone-lined western ridge single trail, pass stone stairs to the Western Window and finish at the clearing opposite Maiala picnic area.
The course lies on the west side of the ridge where trees shade much of the route, though conditions can still be hot in summer months. The event takes place in remote terrain so participants must carry their own water. A minimum of 1 litre is required and will be checked before the race. Top-ups are available at three self-help points and the manned England Creek checkpoint, which supplies water, Tailwind electrolyte and snacks. There are no cups on course so runners must carry a refillable container.
Entry is restricted to people aged over 18. The entry fee and membership discount apply, refunds are available up to two weeks before the event less an administration charge, and the field size is limited (150 in 2026). Event buses are provided from The Gap Park N Ride and baggage transfer to the finish is available; parking at Red Cedar Flats is limited.
