Trail Running calendar near Yarraman 2026-2027

Dead Cow Gully Backyard Ultra challenges runners to a 6.7 km loop each hour until one remains. Set on a 1600 acre cattle property near Nanango, Queensland, the course threads timbered ridges, creek flats and a historic homestead.

Multiple-distance running on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail between Ipswich and Yarraman, held over June 12 to June 14, 2026. Distances range from a half marathon to 200 miles, with mandatory kit, checkpoint support and GPS route files.

A two-day running festival in Wondai on 27 and 28 June 2026 featuring sealed rail-trail runs and cross-country forest trails from 1 km up to the marathon, with on-course aid stations, first aid and weekend bib collection.

Community run, walk and bike event along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. The 23rd Somerset Rail Trail Classic is on 12 July 2026 with 3 km and 8 km run or walk options and 20 km and 44 km bike rides.

A team relay along the South Burnett rail trail covering 60 km between Kingaroy and Wondai. Teams of five to eight run average 5 km legs and a 1 km kids race is included.

Trail event at Murphys Creek Recreation Reserve offering 7 km, 14 km and 21.1 km options on dirt roads and 4WD tracks. Three water stops, post-event stalls and race pack collection are provided.

A 22km mountain trail race from Cedar Flats to the Maiala clearing with 1,200 m of ascent, rainforest single track, four checkpoints and included bus transport. The route features steep climbs, stone stairs and shaded ridge running.
