June 2026

Trail races at Mount Joyce Mountain Bike Trails, Wyaralong Dam in Bromelton on 7 June 2026, with 15 km, 10 km and 5 km options and published entry fees.

Multiple-distance running on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail between Ipswich and Yarraman, held over June 12 to June 14, 2026. Distances range from a half marathon to 200 miles, with mandatory kit, checkpoint support and GPS route files.

A team-based endurance hike in D'Aguilar National Park from Brookfield Reserve with options of 18km, 30km or 48km, set times to finish, checkpoint support, and fundraising requirements supporting the Kokoda Youth Foundation.

July 2026

On Sunday, 12 July 2026 the Somerset Rail Trail Classic offers runs and walks of 3 km and 8 km plus 20 km and 44 km bike rides along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, highlighting regional scenery and community participation.

A multi-distance trail running event at Mt Coot-Tha, Brisbane, featuring 105 km, 52 km, 21 km and 10 km courses. Several distances serve as qualifiers for Western States and UTMB Index events.

A night trail event at Wild Horse Mountain on July 18, 2026, with three distance options and published course maps. Mandatory kit includes a headlamp, water bottle and access to a course map.

August 2026

Scenic Rim Ultra on 8 August 2026 is a trail running event in Queensland with distances from 10 km to 100 miles. The loop course crosses four mountains, Wyaralong Dam and technical single track through forest.

An hourly-lap endurance run at Oxley Creek Common, Rocklea, featuring *6.706 km* loops with 69 m ascent per lap. The last runner standing must complete one solo lap to win otherwise all finishers are recorded as DNF.

Lake Manchester Trails on 16 August 2026 offers distances from a 1 km kids dash to a 23 km lake loop with river crossings, water stops and on-course first aid. Proceeds support the TRAQ Charity Fund.

A trail running event in Yarrabilba on 16 August 2026 with 5.1 km, 11.4 km and 18.2 km courses across Plunkett and Wickham parks featuring sandstone outcrops and eucalypt forest. Medium and long runners must carry at least 500 mL of fluids.

A trail event at Murphys Creek Recreation Reserve offering 7 km, 14 km and 21.1 km options on dirt roads and 4WD track with water stops and a post-event area featuring food and coffee.

September 2026

A two day mountain biking and trail running festival at Hidden Vale Adventure Park near Grandchester, Queensland. The event covers over 80 km of purpose built tracks and marks its 24th year in 2026.

Trail races of 5 km, 10 km and 21.1 km run from Griffith University Brisbane South through Toohey Forest on Sunday 20 September 2026. Five dollars from each registration will be donated to Diabetes Australia and race shirts are included.

October 2026

A backyard ultra at the Toowoomba Showgrounds where runners complete repeating 6.706 kilometre laps each hour until one remains. The event is scheduled for October 3, 2026 and coincides with the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers.

A trail event in Mapleton on 17 October 2026 with 100 km, 50 km and 21 km courses along the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk; mandatory safety gear, drop-bag service and prizes are provided, and the 100 km is a Western States qualifier.

A multi-format running event at Oxley Creek Common in late October 2026, featuring 24 hour, 12 hour and 6 hour events plus 5 km, 4 km and 3 km Drop elimination races. The Drop uses timed laps with runners eliminated each round.
