Trail Running Calendar United States 2026-2027

A roughly 40 mile winter survivalist race in St. Croix State Park where participants travel by foot, ski, or fat bike carrying required survival gear and complete two on-course skill tests.

Take on the 68 mile Backbone Trail in the Santa Monica Mountains on January 16, 2027, with 13,600 feet of climbing and epic coastal views. Field capped at 200; solo entries require a prior 50 mile finish, relays of two to four welcome.

A winter trail event at Fair Hill offering 25K and 50K (two-loop) courses, stocked aid stations, and a heated activity hall at Edward L. Walls Activity Hall, with a maximum field of 600 runners.

A Midwest winter ultra in Missouri on January 16 and 17, 2027, offering multiple trail distances including 100 mile, 100k, a night 40 mile, 20 mile, and a 100 mile five person relay.

A winter trail event at Ontario County Park offering one to three laps of a 4 mile loop and a new snowshoe race in 2027 if conditions allow. Post race amenities include a heated lodge, pancakes, hot drinks, and trailside support.
