Dirt Cheap Stage Race : Mendon Ponds Park, NY

The Dirt Cheap Stage Race is a three day trail running event held at Mendon Ponds Park in Mendon, NY. The event is organized as three separate trail races over consecutive days, presented together as a stage series.

Distances included:

  • 3 miles Pond Road time trial, rolling start, headlamps required
  • 5.5 miles Devils Bathtub, rolling start with a stair climb finish
  • 11 miles through Mendon Ponds Park trail system, starts at Stewart Lodge

Registration opens April 6, 2026 and closes August 6, 2026. Entry options include a series fee of $85 and individual stage fees of $25, $30, and $35 respectively. A participant cap may be implemented at any time.

Event logistics note parking is restricted to specified lots on each day: Horse Trailer Parking Lot and designated shelters on Friday, Devil's Bathtub and Algonkian Shelter on Saturday, and the Beach Lot on Sunday. Timing is provided for each stage and post-race food is offered after each stage. The first 200 registrants receive a custom mug. A hoodie is issued to all finishers who complete all three stages; hoodie sizing is guaranteed only for registrations completed by October 25, 2026.
