Ontario Summit Trail Races
Ontario Summit Trail Races take place on September 12, 2026, at Ontario County Park at Gannett Hill in Naples, NY. The event is organized by FarFetched Enterprises and will use Wilson Lodge as Race HQ.
Distances include:
- 1/2 Marathon
- 5 mile
The 2026 edition introduces course changes. Organizers will no longer focus strictly on creating a half marathon distance and instead will offer a shorter course and a longer course designed to make more sense for the terrain. The official course is listed as TBD.
Parking is organized around the lodges and pavilions. A parking lot next to Wilson Lodge is reserved for staff and volunteers. Event parking will use the looped drive past the lodges; volunteers will direct traffic and fill spaces from the end of the loop. Participants are asked not to park on the race course, on the main park road, or in small lots reserved for other park visitors. The main park road operates one-way counter-clockwise.
Weekend options include tent or vehicle camping near the lodges and access to park campsites and cabins via Ontario County Parks. Friday night social events and Saturday morning breakfast foods will be offered. Post-race provisions include burritos, beer and other beverages, fruit and snacks, and physical therapy support at the finish.
Giveaways and awards are planned. A long sleeve cotton blend shirt and a branded pint glass are among the items; a registration deadline is noted to guarantee a shirt. Volunteers receive meals and a race shirt, and key volunteer roles receive entry or event ticket incentives.
Event policies state a single price with no increases and no fees for participant transfers, distance switching, deferrals, or refunds. Distance switching is allowed up to race-day check-in. The Race Director may disqualify participants for abusive behavior, trail damage, receiving aid outside designated areas, pacing from non-participants, or course-cutting.
