Rob's Trail Fest is a group of trail races held near Canadice and Hemlock Lakes in Hemlock, New York. The event includes multiple distances and uses local trailheads and gravel roads around Canadice Lake and Robs Nature Preserve. Routes are subject to change due to conditions.
Distances
- Marathon, two technical climbs of about 800 ft each.
- 15K, out-and-back on gravel roads with muddy sections.
- 5K, point-to-point with a 17% downhill grade for 0.5 miles.
Course surfaces and terrain are varied, with sections of single track, gravel and some paved stretches. For the full marathon the route is described as roughly half single track, about 40% gravel and about 10% paved. The 5K is a point-to-point route starting at Robs Nature Preserve and finishing at the south end of Canadice Lake; parking is limited and participants should plan transportation accordingly.
Event proceeds will be contributed to trail maintenance efforts, initially on Robs Trail and potentially to other local projects in partnership with a small organization and the DEC. Routes are mapped online and may be adjusted prior to the event. There are no refunds or transfers for this event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
