Black Diamond Express Trail Race
Mendon, United States • 24 Aug 2025
The Black Diamond Express Trail Race, organized by the Mendon Foundation, takes place on the scenic Lehigh Valley Trail in Mendon, New York. The event features two distances: a 5K and a USATF-certified Half Marathon, both run on a flat, fast, and mostly packed stone dust surface that follows a former railroad bed. The 5K is an out-and-back course of 1.55 miles each way, while the Half Marathon covers 6.55 miles out and back. The trail offers a beautiful, slightly soft surface with minimal elevation change, crossing a narrow wooden railroad bridge and several road intersections with marshals. The race supports trail maintenance and community efforts, providing a friendly atmosphere with refreshments, prizes, and live music. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
