Black Diamond Express Trail Race
Mendon, United States • 24 Aug 2025
The Black Diamond Express Trail Race, organized by the Mendon Foundation, takes place on the scenic Lehigh Valley Trail in Mendon, New York. The event features two distances: a 5K and a USATF-certified half marathon, both run on a flat, fast, and mostly packed stone dust surface that follows a former railroad bed. The 5K is an out-and-back course of 1.55 miles each way, while the half marathon covers 6.55 miles out and back, with multiple water stops and road crossings managed by marshals. The race supports trail maintenance and is part of the Greater Rochester Track Club’s Rochester Runner of the Year Series. Participants enjoy a friendly atmosphere with refreshments, prizes, and a commemorative shirt or mug for early registrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
