The Mighty Mosquito Trail Fest : July 25–26, 2026

The event is a weekend trail festival held in Mendon Ponds (Stewart Lodge area), Honeoye Falls / Mendon, New York. It features multiple solo race distances, daytime and nighttime 50 kilometer options, and team relay formats. Camping is allowed in the surrounding area. All proceeds benefit the Blue Foundation in Canandaigua, NY.

Available distances and formats include:

  • 100 mile solo (figure eight on two 10 mile loops, plus a final mile)
  • 50 mile solo (Middle Mosquito, 3x5.5x3 loop format)
  • 50 kilometer daytime solo (Mini Mosquito, approximately 33 miles total)
  • 50 kilometer nighttime solo (Mystical Mosquito, three loops in a B-A-B sequence)
  • 20 mile solo
  • 10 mile solo
  • 5 mile solo
  • 99 mile team relay (up to six members)
  • 50 mile team relay (up to three members)

Aid stations are provided at loop ends and along the course. Relay teams are required to provide at least one volunteer; volunteer duties include road crossing marshal, course direction, and aid station support. Registration notes include a cutoff for guaranteed shirt sizes after June 24 and a deadline for registration in July. Trail runs nearby

Trail race at Mendon Ponds Park on June 12, 2026 offering 4 and 8 mile loops on North Meadow and East Esker trails. The off road course includes two road crossings and participants must carry their own water.

A trail ultra of about 45 miles in Letchworth State Park using both sides of the Genesee gorge. The mostly off road course includes single track, fields and bridges, with five aid stations and two water stops across the route.

Explore the scenic trails of Monroe County during this four part mid week race series. Enjoy chip timed runs through various local parks along with post race cookouts and custom series participant awards.
