The Mighty Mosquito Trail Fest
The Mighty Mosquito Trail Fest is a weekend trail running event on July 25 to 26, 2026 held at Stewart Lodge in Mendon Ponds, Mendon, New York, near Honeoye Falls. The festival offers multiple solo and team race formats across two days and allows camping in the surrounding area.
Event distances and formats include:
- 100 Mile - two 10 mile loops run in a figure 8.
- 50 Mile - three 5.5 mile loops repeated in sequence.
- 50K Daytime - two laps of each course, roughly 33 miles total.
- 50K Nighttime - three loops of the 100 mile course in a B A B pattern.
- 20 Mile, 10 Mile, 5 Mile solo options.
Relay options:
- A 99 mile team relay for up to six team members.
- A 50 mile team relay for up to three team members. All relay teams must provide one volunteer for the event; volunteers support road crossings, aid stations, and course direction.
Aid stations are provided along the routes and a stocked aid area is available at the start/finish for loop runners. Finishers who meet event cutoffs are awarded a Mighty Mosquito belt buckle. Proceeds from the weekend benefit the Blue Foundation of Canandaigua, NY. Shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed after June 24 and registration closes July 20, 2026.
