12th Annual ROCovery Run/Walk and X-Challenge
This event takes place on 09/13/2026 at Mendon Ponds Park, Stewart Lodge / Canfield Woods Shelter Parking, Douglas Road, Henrietta, NY. It is offered as both an in-person event and a virtual option; the virtual 5k may be completed any time in September. Race packets can be mailed for an additional $7 for shipping and handling, but delivery before a chosen run is not guaranteed.
The event is a fundraiser and an occasion during National Recovery Awareness Month. ROCovery reports that in just over ten years it has engaged more than 11,000 individuals in recovery from alcohol and substance use disorder. The event recognizes recovery and remembers those lost to addiction.
Distances and formats include:
- 5K Road course
- 5K Trail course
- 5K Trail course with X-Challenge
- 5K Virtual option
- 10K Twice The Fun Trail and Road combo
The X-Challenge adds challenge stations for push ups, squats and burpees on the trail course. The final number of those three challenges will be determined by the fundraising total the morning of 09/13/26 and announced at the event.
Registration fees listed by the organizer include typical 5K entries at $30 and the 10K combo at $40; kids age 10 and under have a $10 fee. Participants receive a swag bag with a custom bib and a race t shirt while supplies last. Packet pick up dates are 09/10, 09/11, 09/12 and 09/13.
