The ROCovery Annual Run/Walk & X-Challenge takes place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Mendon Ponds Park (Stewart Lodge / Canfield Woods Shelter Parking), Douglas Road, Henrietta, NY 14467. The event includes these distance options:

Additional information

The event is a fundraiser for ROCovery and is offered both in-person and as a virtual event, allowing results to be entered from anywhere during the month. Over more than 10 years, ROCovery has engaged more than 11,000 individuals in recovery from alcohol and substance use disorder. All in-person runners and walkers receive a swag bag with a custom bib and a race t-shirt while supplies last. Financial assistance for entry is available for people in recovery upon request.

Standard registration for the 5k events is listed at $32.80 and the 10k at $43.40; prices increase after July 1, 2026, and an early bird registration deadline is listed as June 28, 2026. Memorial signs must be ordered by September 5, 2026. Race packet pick-up is scheduled at ROCovery on Thursday 9/10, Friday 9/11, and Saturday 9/12, with additional pick-up at Mendon Ponds Park on race day morning. Run or walk the Batavia Turkey Trot 5K on Thanksgiving Day and support Crossroads House. Family and stroller friendly with costume prizes, hot drinks and snacks after the race.

Tackle rugged trails and steep climbs at the 0 Degree Winter Trail Festival in Pittsford, NY, a fundraiser supporting local trail projects. Choose 5, 10 or 15 mile routes for a cold season trail challenge with grit and scenic views.

Start the season with Frozen Assets, a scenic 10k winter trail loop at Harriet Hollister Spencer State Recreation Area that often runs through snow. Carry your own water and enjoy warm cider at the finish.
