Innovative Edge Cross Country Series

The Innovative Edge Cross Country Series is a four-race summer series organized by the Genesee Valley Harriers at Cobbs Hill Park in Rochester, NY. Each event is a 5k cross country style race that runs mostly on grass and trails with short stretches on pavement. The course is marked with brightly colored flags and marshals are stationed on course.

Same day registration is available. Entry options include individual race registration and a discounted option for all four races; races are free for runners under 18 and for Genesee Valley Harriers members. Awards are presented after each race; merchandise awards from Innovative Edge Sports go to the top five male and female finishers in these age divisions: Youth (13 and under), High School (14-18), Open (19-39), and Master’s and Beyond (40+).

A kids program for children 13 and under includes untimed fun runs with ribbons and popsicles for participants. Parents may run with their children and spectators are encouraged to cheer. The series concludes with the Tour de Pain as part of the final race, in which participants complete additional short races immediately after the 5k; registration for the Tour is included with the series registration. Course maps and past results are maintained for reference. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
