Amer's Epilepsy Trail Race at Mendon Ponds Park

Amer's Epilepsy Trail Race takes place on August 2, 2026, at Mendon Ponds Park in Mendon, New York. The event offers three options on park trails and allows walkers and leashed dogs to participate.

Available distances:

  • 5K Trail Run or Walk (timed)
  • 10K Trail Run or Walk (timed)
  • One mile Fun Run or Walk (untimed)

The 5K and 10K courses follow the North Meadow and East Esker trails and start just south of Canfield Road across from the Pine Woods Trail. The one mile fun run follows the Pine Woods Trail on the north side of Canfield Road. T-shirts are provided to participants who register ahead of time.

Registration opens May 1, 2026 and closes August 2, 2026. Registration fees are $35 for the 5K and 10K and $10 for the one mile event. Awards are given in three age groups: 16 and under, 17 to 25, and 26 and over.

Parking is available in the Cobblestone House and Beach Area parking lots. Proceeds from the event benefit EPI and its epilepsy programs to support people with disabilities in achieving personal goals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

A four-week, 90-minute trail running series for runners comfortable with about 3 miles. Sessions cover warm-ups, guided runs, hill and footwork drills, gear and safety, and include trail socks and gifts.
