The Swain Mountain Race, held in Swain, NY, is a challenging 6.5-mile mountain trail race featuring nearly 2,500 feet of elevation gain. The course includes two loops: a 1.8-mile initial loop with a steady climb and a longer 4.8-mile loop that tackles some of Swain’s toughest ascents, including Clark and Upper Robinson climbs. Known as a "Suffer Fest," the race offers steep climbs and descents, testing runners' endurance and skill. It serves as the 2025 USATF Niagara Open and Masters Mountain Association Championships and is part of the USATF Niagara Runner of the Year and Team Grand Prix Series.
