The Canya Cañon Trail Race & Family Hike takes place on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The main event is a 4-mile trail race that follows the original course along the Columbine Trail. Participants start at Starsmore Visitor & Nature Center and run up Columbine Trail to the Powell parking lot. Adventures Out West provides a shuttle back to Starsmore. Well behaved, leashed pets are allowed on the trail, but pets cannot ride in the Adventures Out West vehicles.

Logistics and services

All proceeds benefit Friends of Cheyenne Cañon, which supports preservation and improvements in North Cheyenne Cañon Park. Registration options include early bird and regular fees: early bird individual $35 and family (3-6) $70; starting October 1 individual $40 and family $75. Race day registration is available, and online registration is preferred. This is a cupless race; participants should bring their own water bottles. A water station will be located at the spur to Gold Camp Road on Upper Columbine Trail (about 2.5 miles into the race) and water will be available at the finish. Parking is available near Starsmore Visitor & Nature Center, with overflow parking on Mesa Ave just west of Evans Ave. Restrooms are inside Starsmore, with portable toilets at the Powell parking lot finish. The top three overall male and female finishers receive custom awards. All participants receive a coupon for a free pint at Bristol Brewing Company.
