Run for Valor 10K

King George, United States • 6 Dec 2025

Event overview

The Run for Valor on December 6 takes place at Valor Ranch, 15360 Sunset Lane, King George, VA. The event offers multiple distances:

  • 5K
  • 10K
  • 10K Ruck
  • 1-mile Fun Run/Walk

The 5K and 10K are trail courses across the farm and are officially timed. The 1-mile fun run/walk uses gravel roads and well packed trails. Courses are on unpaved surfaces through pastures, woods, and a gravel road. Participants can expect uneven terrain, occasional tree roots, and possible mud or standing water depending on recent weather. The 10K ruck follows the same course as the 10K run and is a weighted event.

Additional information

Age rules: participants must be ten (10) and up for the 5K, 10K and 10K ruck; the 1-mile run/walk is open to all ages and walkers. Ruck weights are 30-35 lbs for men and 20-25 lbs for women, excluding water. Registration fees listed are $55 for the 10K and 10K ruck, $40 for the 5K, and $25 for the 1-mile. Entry includes a finisher medal, event shirt (shirt guaranteed for registrations before Nov 19), and chip timing.

There will be post-race music, vendors, games, and food and drinks for purchase. Water stations: three on the 10K route and one on the 5K. Port-a-johns will be available near the start and finish. Live results will be posted online with a QR code at the event and final results with series points published the Monday after the race. Proceeds benefit Valor Ranch.
