Norris Ultra Dam Hard Trail Race

Rocky Top, United States • 1 Nov 2025

Event overview

The Norris Ultra Dam Hard Trail Race takes place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Norris Dam State Park in Norris / Andersonville, TN. The event offers two race distances:

  • 25k
  • 50k

The 25k is one counterclockwise loop of the course; the 50k consists of two loops on the same route. Results will be posted on RunSignup and Webscorer.

Course, safety and logistics

Both distances run on single-track trails and jeep roads through Norris Dam State Park and the Norris Municipal Watershed. Multiple road-accessible aid stations serve the course. The 25k has a 4:40 time limit; the 50k has a 9-hour time limit. For the 50k, runners must reach the halfway point and leave that aid station within four hours to continue. Optional live tracking is available via the Webscorer app; it reports location approximately every five minutes at no extra cost.

Norris Dam State Park has two campgrounds with water, electric hookups and dump stations, plus rustic and deluxe cabins. Additional lodging is available near Exit 122 on I-75 and the Andersonville Hwy 61 junction. Course rules prohibit headsets/earphones, bicycles, baby strollers, roller blades and pets. Aid stations will provide only very small cups, so runners are urged to carry their own water. Runners under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for adult races, and an 18:00/mile minimum pace will be enforced with a course sweeper. The Treadin’ Trodden Trails series offers shirts, series awards, and a deluxe finisher medal for those who complete both distances. Registration fees vary by date and a Knoxville Track Club discount is available for members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
