The Veterans Heritage Ridge Run is an annual fundraiser that supports the construction and upkeep of Sharps Ridge Veterans Memorial Park. The 8th annual Ridge Run and JROTC Competition is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026. The start point and ceremonial area is at the Lincoln Park Technology Trade School, 535 Chickamauga Ave.

Course, format and logistics

All events take place on Sharps Ridge trails. The courses run in a loop on well marked hiking trails that go through largely wooded and hilly terrain. Participants may choose from the following options:

  • 5K timed trail run
  • 1 mile family fun walk
  • 10K Ruck Race

Ample parking is available throughout the neighborhood at designated locations. Shuttle service is provided for those who are unable to walk a few blocks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
