Color Me Mutt 5K & 1 Mile Color Walk/Run

The event takes place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at NASCAR SpeedPark Smoky Mountains, 1545 Parkway, Sevierville, TN 37862. It is the 10th annual Color Me Mutt, hosted by the PARC Foundation, the charitable arm of NASCAR SpeedPark. Proceeds will benefit the PARC Foundation, Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center of the Smokies and the Sevier County Animal Shelter. The race date was moved from October 4 to November 15 at the request of the city.

Event details

The 5K is officially timed and will award top overall male and female (with dog) and the top three male and female finishers in each age category: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. The course includes non-toxic powdered color stations made in the USA from cornstarch, baking soda, and FD&C dyes. Color throwers aim low and will not color dogs unless asked; participants may opt out at any station. Two dog water stations are on course, including one at the half-mile turnaround for the 1-Mile event. At the finish, human participants receive a bottle of water and there is a separate dog water station.

Every participant receives an event t-shirt (preferred size guaranteed with registration by October 29), race bib and one packet of color, a finisher medal, a commemorative pet item, an Unlimited Ride Wristband to NASCAR SpeedPark valid through 2/26/2026, and a swag bag. Packet pickup is Thursday, Nov. 13 (4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.), Friday, Nov. 14 (12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.), with race day pickup beginning at 7:00 a.m. Registration pricing listed by the organizer: 1-Mile $30; 5K $40 (Sept 11 to Oct 29) and $45 (Oct 30 to race day); Pet Parade $5; Virtual $40.
