Distances:
- 30K
- 20K
- 10K
- 5K
Each distance uses looped courses that pass the start/finish area after each lap. Trails used include Noso, Blevins, Moon Rock, Levee, Spillway, Cat Peaks and Cat Peaks Pass; some loops include climbs such as Quartz and Go John. The trails are described as mostly smooth and runnable with occasional rollers and rocky sections. The 5K course is noted as being closer to 3.6 miles.
Aid support includes a main start/finish aid station and a fully stocked remote Levee Aid station passed each loop. Aid stations provide water, ice, electrolyte drinks (Gnarly Hydrate), salty and sweet snacks, fruit, pb&j, bean rollups and hot options such as quesadillas and grilled cheese. Chip timing, finish line photos and a finisher award by Aravaipa Artworx are provided. Live split tracking is available during the race.
Logistics: crews may access the start/finish area only; pacers are not permitted; a drop bag area is available at the trailhead. Course marking uses orange plastic ribbons with black polka dots, reflective medallions and laminated signs; blue and white checkerboard flagging marks wrong-way trails. MedStar Solutions medical staff will be on site. The park charges an entry fee per vehicle and offers campground sites that can be reserved through the park reservation system. Pets are not permitted on course and must be leashed if present at the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
