Punisher Night Trail, Mesa AZ

Punisher Night Trail is a set of night trail races held at Usery Mountain Regional Park in Mesa, Arizona. The event uses a roughly 9 kilometer loop that follows the Noso, Blevins, Moon Rock, Levee, Spillway, Cat Peaks and Cat Peaks Pass Trails. Course terrain is described as a mix of smooth, runnable trails with a few rollers and rocky sections. Each distance passes through the start and finish area after each lap.

  • 30K three 9 km loops (about 18.5 miles)
  • 20K two 9 km loops (about 12.3 miles)
  • 10K one 9 km loop (about 6.2 miles)
  • 5K one short loop (listed as about 3.5 miles)

Aid support includes a fully stocked start/finish aid station plus a remote Levee Aid station encountered each loop. Stations provide water, ice, electrolyte drinks (Gnarly Hydrate), salty and sweet snacks, fruit, peanut butter and jelly, bean rollups, and hot food options. A drop bag area is available at the start/finish and crews are allowed only at the trailhead staging area. Pacers are not permitted for any distance.

Additional notes include chip timing, finish line photos, a finisher award from Aravaipa Artworx, and live split tracking. Park entry currently requires a vehicle fee.
