Insomniac Night Trail Run Series

The Insomniac Night Trail Run Series is a collection of six night running events held in the Maricopa County Regional Parks. These races take place from April through September, allowing participants to experience trail running in the desert during the cooler night hours. The courses are designed to use different trails than their daytime counterparts, providing a variety of terrain under the moonlight or stars.

The series consists of the following individual events:

  • Sinister
  • Adrenaline
  • Hypnosis
  • Stunner
  • Vertigo
  • Javelina Jangover

Participants can choose from various series passes that determine the distances run at each event. Available distances across the different passes include:

  • 6 km, 7 km, 9 km, 10 km
  • 12 km, 14 km, 15 km, 18 km, 20 km
  • 25 km, 27 km, 31 km
  • 50 km, 52 km, 54 km, 75 km

The series includes a point system where the top three scores out of the six races are used to determine overall winners in each pass category. Winners are eligible for race entries and credits toward future events. A unique award is provided for those who register for the full series.
