Course and logistics
All races start and finish within The Forge and run on single- and double-track trails and some gravel around the Lemont Quarries and the I&M Canal. The 10K is one lap, the 20K is two laps, the 30K is three laps, and the 60K is six laps. Gravel sections are flat. Single-track sections have variable surfaces including dirt, grass, rocks, mud, roots, mulch and some short technical inclines and downhills. There are no significant elevation changes. Trail running shoes are recommended.
A staffed aid station is provided at about mile 6.2 for the 20K, 30K and 60K at the start of later laps; there is no aid station on the 10K. Runners are asked to carry their own hydration and fuel and to use refillable bottles when possible. A Garmin GPX file and course map are available. Awards are given 1st–3rd overall male and female in each race, and raffles and additional prizes are planned. Parking is available in Lots 1 or 2 near the Forge bridges; athletes will park on the north side of the I&M Canal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
