Fast Track Cross Country Open : overview
The Fast Track Cross Country Open is scheduled for Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Schaumburg, IL (315 N Springinsguth Rd, 60194). The event includes two separate races: a women's race and a men's race. Entry for each race is listed at $25. Registration closes on November 9, 2025. Packet pickup is available at Xtra Mile Running (31 W Schaumburg Rd) on Saturday, November 8 from Noon to 4:00 pm, with additional race-day pickup beginning in the morning.
Course, logistics and competition details
The race uses the MacNider cross country course. The course is approximately 3.05 miles, arranged as a short start followed by three loops, with each loop about 1 mile in length. Surfaces are mostly grass and may include mud, dirt, blacktop, roots and other typical park terrain. Limited parking is available at Hoover Elementary School; additional street parking is available on Amherst Drive and Colwyn Drive. No parking is allowed at the church across the street.
There is an optional same-gender team competition; teams must have at least four runners, the top four score for the team, and fifth and sixth runners count against other teams. Teams must be finalized by Friday night, November 7. Spikes are recommended but not required. T-shirt sizes will be limited after an early October order. There are no refunds, bib transfers, or deferrals. Sponsors include Xtra Mile Running, Brooks, and the Chicago Area Runners Association.
