The Next Loop at Deer Grove East Forest Preserve in Palatine, Illinois is a loop-format trail event organized by EverFurther. The course uses a clearly marked 3.1-mile (5K) loop that runs through mature woodlands, open prairie, and well-maintained natural trails with surfaces of packed dirt, sections of crushed gravel, and smooth singletrack.

The event offers a flexible Endurance Series where runners build mileage one loop at a time and official results reflect completed loops and cumulative loop time. Every loop returns to a centralized start/finish area with a fully stocked aid station and access to personal gear and crew support. The loop schedule includes a recovery period between laps to allow refueling, gear changes, and pacing adjustments.

There are also continuous trail challenge options with a 12-hour time limit and field limits noted for the longer challenges.
