Miles for Miracles Run

Miles for Miracles is a community cross country event on August 9, 2026 at Melas Cross Country Course, 1500 W Central Road, Mount Prospect, IL 60056. The event is organized to raise funds for the Little Giraffe Foundation and reflects a personal connection to neonatal care held by the organizers.

Race distances offered include:

  • 1 Mile
  • 2 Mile
  • 3 Mile

Registration is $25 per participant. Registration opens May 1, 2026 and closes August 8, 2026. Races start in sequence with the 1 Mile followed by the 2 Mile and then the 3 Mile; each race begins after the previous race finishes.

Timing is provided by Palatine Pack Timing and results are posted live on Athletic.net. Awards are given for first, second, and third place with separate male and female awards for each distance.

On race day there is packet pickup, water, restrooms, on-site parking, and Kona Ice available for purchase. Trail runs nearby

A timed endurance trail event near Willow Springs on a 4 mile loop with single and double track, rolling hills, a signature aid station offering snacks and drinks, and a mandatory reusable cup policy.

A chip timed *10K* trail run at The Forge Lemont Quarries featuring mostly crushed limestone surfaces, wooded scenery, competitive overall and age group awards, and a 450 participant capacity.

Dirt Circus Chicago on May 30, 2026 in Crystal Lake, IL gathers the local trail running community for a social run, expo, food, raffle, and vendor booths. Two route options and a city specific t shirt preorder are available.

A trail race at Hickory Knolls Nature Area offering 5K, 10K and a 10K two person relay on marked dirt grass and gravel paths; proceeds support the St Charles Park Foundation.
