Trail races at Frontenac State Park offering 5 and 10 mile courses across prairies, single track woods, and scenic overlooks. The cupless event provides aid stations and restroom facilities; participants should carry a water container.

Trail races at William O'Brien State Park in Marine on Saint Croix, Minnesota, offering 50K, 25k, 10K and 5k on grass and singletrack. Longer distances include multiple aid stations and post race food.

October 2026

Experience Minnesota's largest state park on a flat trail course at St. Croix State Park. Choose from four distances including a 100K ultra featuring a climb up a historic fire tower.

Experience night trail running on the rolling grassy hills of Lake Elmo Park Reserve. Choose between 5k and 10k races or a 6 hour endurance shuffle on lit ski trails.

A *10-mile* single-track trail race at Willow River State Park featuring technical wooded terrain, climbs, stairs, and a waterfall. The cupless course has an aid station at about 4.2 miles and on-site restrooms and parking.

Experience a rugged trail run through the Vasaloppet Nordic Center trail system in Mora. With distances including a 10k race and family fun sessions, participants enjoy a well marked course followed by a racers lunch.

A 5K run at Wild River State Park in Center City, MN. Registration opens 1 July 2026 and archives of past races and photos date back to 2012.

A fall trail running event at Lake Elmo Park Reserve offering 10K, 5K, a kids 0.5 mile fun run and a double up option. The course features rolling hills, aid stations and a post race bonfire with pancake breakfast.

A trail event along Ȟaȟá Wakpádaŋ (Bassett Creek) offering 6-hour and 12-hour timed runs or walks, relay teams, a one-loop fun run, and a kids Little Loopet, with on-course aid stations and start/finish at the Theodore Wirth Park Trailhead.

The MammothMarch Minnesota will take place in Crosby Township on Saturday 17 October 2026.

A 5 Mile run and a 1/3 Mile kids fun run at Jacobson's Pine Tree Apple Orchard, with mixed gravel and pavement trails, apple treats for finishers, age group awards, and certificates for apple pies.

Night Light is a nighttime trail event on the Battle Creek trails in Saint Paul with 5K, 10K, 15K and a three person 15K relay. The course is off pavement on grassy and dirt trails with notable climbs and is unlit.

November 2026

A time based trail challenge at Whitetail Ridge where runners choose a four hour or eight hour effort on repeated five mile single track laps, with a one mile bonus loop opening in the final hour.

A fall trail event at Tower Ridge in Eau Claire on November 8, 2026, featuring 5K, 10K and a new 15K Yeti Challenge. The race includes a post-race lunch, awards, door prizes and refreshments.

Run The Ritter is a trail running event in Lakeville, Minnesota offering 3 mile, 5 mile, and 10 mile options plus a Canicross division. The course uses wide off road trails with rolling hills, rocks, and a short gravel section.

A winter human powered event on the Tuscobia and Wild Rivers State Trails offering 80 mile and 160 mile options; the 160 mile is an Iditarod qualifier and is largely self supported with minimal checkpoint aid.
