Trout Brook 10-miler

The Trout Brook 10-miler is a trail race held at Willow River State Park in Hudson, WI on October 10, 2026. The course moves off wider park trails onto single-track routes and includes varied terrain with hills, a stair climb, and views of a waterfall. The route explores less-traveled areas of the park and emphasizes trail-running skills.

Race-day logistics include bib pick-up and race-day items at the large picnic shelter in the park. Participants are asked to park in the large parking area near the visitor center and beach or in the parking lot near the nature center/start in the park's southern part; park admission fees apply. A roughly halfway aid station at about 4.2 miles offers water, Heed, individually wrapped snacks, and one restroom; a portable toilet will also be available at that location. Restrooms are open at the start area.

This is a cupless event; participants should begin with a full water container or bladder and may refill at the halfway aid station. If a runner drops out, they should remove their bib and deliver it to the race director or an aid station captain; failing to notify officials may affect future participation. The organizer reserves the right to delay, suspend, or cancel the event for safety reasons, including severe weather or acts of god, and no refunds or transfers are allowed.
