Trout Brook 10-miler

Trout Brook is a trail race held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Willow River State Park in Hudson, WI. The course covers 10 miles and moves from wide park trails into technical single-track. Runners encounter tight lines through trees, uphill sections, a stair segment, and a waterfall along the route. October foliage and faster underfoot sections are noted characteristics of the course.

The event is cupless; participants must bring a full water container or hydration bladder. One aid station is located at roughly 4.2 miles and provides water, Heed, individually wrapped snacks, and one restroom. Restrooms are also available at the start area and a portable toilet will be provided at the aid station. Upon arrival park in the large lot near the visitor center and pick up bibs and race items at the large picnic shelter. A short pre-race briefing takes place shortly before the start.

If a participant withdraws, they should remove their bib and hand it to the race director or an aid station captain. Leaving the course without notifying officials may affect future participation. St. Croix Running Company states it aims to create events where everyone feels welcome, safe, and connected regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, identity, socioeconomic status, religion, or political beliefs.
