The Willow 10 and 20 Miler
The Willow Trail Race takes place at Willow River State Park in Hudson, WI and uses a single loop course offered in two distance options.
- 10 miles one loop on the park course
- 20 miles two loops of the same course
The route follows grass and gravel single-track through rolling terrain. The course includes roots, ridgelines, open meadows, and varied elevation rather than flat terrain, with views across the park.
An aid station sits at about the midway point of the loop (approximately 6.75 miles) and supplies water, gels, and individually wrapped snacks. Twenty mile runners have an additional aid point near the finish of the first loop and may leave a drop bag to be collected at the start area. The event is cupless; runners are expected to carry a handheld bottle or hydration pack because water is provided at aid stations only. Portable toilets are available at the start/finish area and at the on-course aid station.
The nature center parking lot is recommended as the closest parking area. State park admission fees apply. If a runner needs to withdraw, they should remove their bib and give it to race officials or an aid station captain so officials can account for participants. The race director may delay, suspend, or cancel the event for safety reasons; refunds and transfers are not allowed.
The event states it welcomes all participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
